St Rita’s College
Trinity Centre
Like most school buildings, the St Rita’s College Trinity Centre is a working utility, containing 12 classrooms, an auditorium, and specialist spaces for music, drama, film and tv.
During the design process, the building was arranged based on adjacencies, efficiencies and structural systems. Though its logic was reassuring, it needed transfiguration…
The College is informed by the legacy of two remarkable women: St Rita – Patron Saint of Improbable Causes and Nano Nagle foundress of the College’s Presentation Sisters.
RITA is its namesake and external identity. Nano’s teachings have shaped the College’s pedagogy and internal culture. Miraculously, their names were emergent on the internal and external facades respectively.
